When I set out to redo dryan.com I had a few concrete goals in mind: it needed to allow me to write articles with more ease, it needed to have a design that was text-driven and evergreen and it needed to be built in Django.

BarCampChatt.com needed two serve three core purposes. First, communicate information about the event. Second, receive registrations for those who wanted to attend the event. Third, manage the speaker schedule and publish updates in real time.
